Nicolay Martell Wold
Nicolay Martell Wold is a 21-year-old photographer from Oslo, Norway. He wants to be able to use photography to find and convey the soul in people and culture. Nicolay believes that there are emotions in everything, and as a photographer he wants to capture these emotions. By being close to the people being photographed, Nicolay wants to create stories that allow for empathy, curiosity and understanding.Â
His love for photography came to light in high school, where this new medium of communication showed him how to tell stories in a way he himself understood better than words. Throughout his studies, Nicolay has become familiar with photography through reportage work and internships in newspapers such as Morgenbladet. All of this has sharpened his ability for photographic storytelling.
